How-To

The Dino Game on Windows PC & Mac

Desktop is the dino's natural habitat — a real spacebar is still the best jump button there is. Here's every way to play on a PC or Mac.

Three ways to start

  1. In Chrome: type chrome://dino in the address bar and press Space. Full steps in how to open Chrome dino.
  2. Any browser: play our version in Edge, Firefox, Safari, or Chrome — nothing to install.
  3. Offline: disconnect and load any page in Chrome; the dino appears on the error screen.

Desktop tips

  • Use Space to start and jump, ↓ to duck — keep both hands resting lightly.
  • Zoom for comfort: Ctrl/Cmd + + enlarges the game if it feels small on a big monitor.
  • Plugged in beats battery: power-saver modes throttle frames — if the game stutters, see the lag fix guide.

On a work machine?

Some managed Windows PCs disable chrome://dino. Our site works regardless, since it's an ordinary web page — same story as school devices, covered in dino game unblocked.

Using a Chromebook instead? That has its own quirks: the Chromebook guide.
